Michigander Announces the First Annual Michigander Holiday Special
Michigander has announced his first annual Michigander Holiday Special. The two-day event will take over two iconic Grand Rapids venues in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With a dollar from every ticket sold being donated to help support local charities, this is an event you don't want to miss if you're looking to have a little holiday fun, and do some good while you’re at it!
Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and now living in Nashville, Jason Singer has been making music for the last decade. Paying homage to his home state, he has released four EPs and even more singles under the name Michigander. With an alternative/ indie rock sound, Michigander is passionate and real. He's also a talented musician, and hand one of the nicest, most positive people you can talk to. There’s something special about Michigander and his music, and as a Michigander myself, I’m proud to have someone like him representing the Michigan music scene.
The Michigander Holiday Special will be a two-night event “taking over the city for a couple of days spreading lots of joy for all to hear”. Day one of the Holiday Special is an exclusive pre-show event, taking place on December 6th at Tip Top Deluxe in Grand Rapids, MI. With support from Young Ritual, the event will be helping to support Kids Food Basket, a Grand Rapids non-profit aiming to help provide increased access to healthier foods for children and their families. The only way to get into this first night of the event is the purchase a VIP ticket, which includes a ticket to both nights of the Michigander Holiday Special, as well as a limited edition poster.
Day 2 of the event will be taking place the following night, December 7th, in the Elevation room of the Intersection in Grand Rapids, MI. The intersection is a staple venue in Grand Rapids, and the Elevation stage offers a grungy yet intimate atmosphere, with only an 800-person capacity. Michigander will be taking over the stage, with support from Oliver Hazard and Trauna. Ticket sales for the main night of the event will be supporting D.A Blodgett St. Johns, another Grand Rapids non-profit dedicated to providing homes and hope for children.
If you want to have a little fun and get into the Christmas spirit, while doing some good and spreading holiday cheer, grab a ticket (or two) to the Michigander Holiday Special. Tickets are on sale now and can be found here.
If you’re not able to catch the Holiday Special, Michigander is about to head out on his next tour! Starting in October and stretching all the way into February, the 40+ stop tour is traveling all over the country. See if he’s coming to a city near you and grab a ticket here!
