Plain White T’s Release Remix of “Hey There Delilah”

The Plain White T’s recently released a remix of their hit song “Hey There Delilah,” created by RJ Pasin. Originally released in 2006, “Hey There Delilah” is one of the most recognizable songs of the time, which is why it went platinum and has amassed over a billion streams throughout the years. It continues to be one of their most loved songs by fans.

The remix is more than just a remastering of the song, it is a re-imagination. It feels very nostalgic to any former (or current) emo or for anyone who grew up playing 8-bit games. You still feel the emotion from the story within the lyrics, but the additional beats and twang enhance the original song’s instrumentals into something that feels like an entirely new song.

Tom Higgenson, the band’s vocalist, commented on the remix stating, “I love RJ Pasin's reimagining of 'Hey There Delilah. So much energy, and a different spin on the song. It's so cool."

RJ Pasin explained the remix as “a fun way to incorporate modern production and guitar composition into such a timeless classic."

You can listen to the song here or watch the lyric video here.

The band’s most recent release is out now! You can get their self-titled album here. They will also be touring throughout the United States this fall with The Used.

Kristen

Hi! My name is Kristen and I’m a photographer/videographer based out of Milwaukee, WI. I’ve never known life without a camera in my hands and music in my ears. Music is something that I always felt passionate about and fell in love with how music can connect so many people from all different walks of life. At a very young age, I found my mom’s VHS camcorder and filmed anything and everything. Later in life, I became a wedding videographer and continued to do that for 5 years. While doing this helped me hone my craft, I always had a pull in the back of my mind to music photography. That's when I decided to bring my two passions together and got into music photography. I hope to help continue bringing people together and amplifying the voices and stories of all of the people and artists I am inspired by, and those I have yet to find.
