Catch Your Breath Sits Down With Evaporated To Talk About New Tours And More
At the end of November, I got to sit down with the busy bees of Catch Your Breath to catch up on everything they have been doing and all of the new and exciting announcements being made.
Being on the road for some time now, what are some ways for you to bring home with you?
A: most of the time it’s something small like a pillow or blanket. It smells like home and kind of brings you closer in a way.
You just finished a full tour with Dayseeker, Do you have any favorite moments or memories from it?
A: really just being back on the road with my boys. It has been a while since we were all together as a unit and it felt really nice.
Now that you’re finally embarking on your first US headlining tour, is there anything fans can expect to see? Maybe some new songs played live for the first time, new stage setup, fun things like that?
A: absolutely! We have the most time to play as many of our favorites as well as some fan favorites so it should be a fun time.
What has been one of your favorite songs from the starting stages to playing live?
A: shame on me is and probably always will be a band favorite to play live. We’re not sure why, but that song seems to bring out the crowd surfers and we’re here for it!
Speaking of the US headlining run, What made you choose The Funeral Portrait, If Not For Me, and Archers to accompany you?
A: mostly because we’re all friends in some way. That and our camps are all closely related. They’re also all great bands that we felt would complement the tour and cater to the fans in a really fun way. All these bands are newer or on the come up so we thought why not just all tour together?
Is there anything you are looking forward to specifically on your headlining tour in Europe with Until I Wake and Michigans own Of Virtue?
A: Really just looking forward to a smooth and easy first trip over for us. We get along with both bands (UIW and Of Virtue) because of our past tours and they kick ass live, so it was kind of a no brainer to ask them to join us. But yeah, looking forward to good times with good friends. Hopefully some we’ll never forget… in a good way.
Is there anything fans can expect from now to February?
A: short answer, yes. Hopefully.
Just out of sheer curiosity, How did you come up with the names for your two headlining tours and is there a designated person in the band that comes up with them?
A: just brainstorming as a team. They’ve either been lyrics to one of our songs or just the Name of Savages haha.
As always thank you again to the incredible Catch Your Breath and Thriller Records for letting me get some insight into what’s next for the band, be sure to follow both CYB and Thriller Records for future announcements and see them live in 2025 if you get a chance. You can also stream "Shame On Me Deluxe" while you wait for the nearest tour date! Till next time.
