New release by All Time Low and I Prevail “Hate This Song” is the perfect song to not hate this summer
If you were looking for a new song to end the summer with, it probably wasn't expected to be an epic collaboration between All Time Low and I Prevail. These two powerhouses in their respective genres just released a perfect song to not hate, called “Hate This Song” which perfectly mixes the sounds of both bands seamlessly. What seems like an unlikely pairing with ATL’s melodic sound and I Prevail’s dual vocalists and screams fits so well together that it sounds meant to be.
When asked how the collaboration came to, Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low said "'Hate This Song' has been waiting patiently in the wings since the release of our last full-length Tell Me I’m Alive," "It was an opportunity to explore something kind of cheeky and different with a band we have a ton of respect for at the top of their game. The I Prevail guys brought their signature weight to the song and transformed it into something wonderfully unexpected and I see our bands coming together as the two sides of a coin dropping into the jukebox that's about to spin this song over and over again."
I Prevail’s Eric Vanlerberghe stated "A while back we were hit up by this little band called All Time Low, They sent us a track that they wrote and asked if we could spice it up a bit. We said absolutely and went to work. So happy to have this track out — finally — and to be the first ones to put a blast beat on an ATL song."
There’s no doubt that fans of both bands can appreciate the new soon-to-be hit “Hate This Song” as it respects the sounds of All Time Low and I Prevail both separately in one track and brings All Time Low’s first song since their full-length “Tell Me I’m Alive” was released in 2023. With ATL from Maryland pairing with the guys of I Prevail from southeast Michigan, “Hate This Song” is a collaboration we didn’t know we needed until it came out September 17, 2024. Days later it’s already making waves on social media and streaming services.
